Ooh Eem Geeeee..!

Tomas Maier of Bottega Veneta is rumored to be one of two guest designers to collaborate with H&M this fall! *happy dance*

Usually I'm a bit blasé about H&M collaborations. I just can't camp out in front of stores to be the first one inside, because frankly I don't do camping... unless the tent is going to be pitched in a hotel room. BUT I'm such a huge Bottega Veneta fan that if this rumor proves true, I just might have to make an exception. Actually, I'm hoping that Tomas Maier will be doing a men's line, which should attract less hysterics.  ;-)

We'll have to wait and see though, because H&M is being a tease about it and has posted these two mysterious videos on their official Facebook page. Some have guessed the other designer to be Carolina Herrera, but I'm not so sure. The hair is a bit long, no? I'm leaning more towards Alberta Ferretti.

See for yourselves...

The Randomness...

Get ready for some rainy Sunday afternoon randomness... (WARNING: pic heavy)

Lady Gaga looks very soft and serene for Vanity Fair's September 2010 Style issue. Maybe it's all that hair, but I'm getting a mermaid vibe here. Surprisingly good look for her though.

Miu Miu's cute "twist and lock" fastenings on belts and bags for Fall 2010. I smile every time I see them.

Nothing new, just very "now".

As if I've not bought enough croc items for fall already... How about this Bottega Veneta Fall 2010 bag? LOVES!!!

For some reason it reminds me of one of my favorite pic's from Jak&Jil Blog.

and another Jak&Jil favorite from last year.

Isn't that head band just to die for?

Speaking of which... I definitely "die" for Micheal Kors' Fall 2010 campaign.

ooooo... watch purdyyyyy....

If this doesn't get you in the mood for fall, then honey, it's time to move to Boca!

Primark in Vogue...

After my little rant last year, I don't have to tell you how pleased I am that a year later British Vogue is still running it's "More Dash than Cash" feature.

This month I was pleasantly surprised and extra pleased to find a shoe from Primark no less featured in the "More Dash than Cash" pages!

(image scanned by me, click to enlarge)

To me this is a monumental precedent. Does it mean though that times are a-changing? That Vogue is taking it's nose out of the air and planting it's feet on the ground?

No, not really. The mag is still filled with designer brands, but in all honesty that's the way we like it. However, it is good to see that a brand like Primark is not excluded by default. Primark has become a "must shop" destination for many women, especially young girls, who are making wiser financial choices when it comes to fashion nowadays. Cheap Chic is "in" and the placement of this shoe in the mag shows that Vogue is more and more taking into consideration who their readers really are and not only what they like, but also where they shop.

I see you baby...

Praise should be given where it is due, so as a balance to the "Seriously" posts, I am introducing "I see you baby" as a regular post to compliment those who I think are doing a fab job!

Today: Serena Williams. Is it me or has she been looking extra fab lately?

(...and yes I'm ignoring "little miss XXX-exposure" on the left, because... seriously?)

Even with a cast on her foot? Still fab!

(all images from: The Fashion Bomb Daily)

Her hair and make-up are on point and she's working some seriously sexy dresses! Do that babes, I see you!

Snakes and Gators and Crocs! Oh my..!

Remember that fabulous crocodile Balmain blazer/jacket I showed you a while back?

Yeah well... I didn't buy that. Frankly, I thought I'd spend my € 74.000,- a bit more wisely...

But I did get this!

I'm so in love with this skirt. And if the sheer fab-ness of it wasn't enough, the price was an unbelievable € 20! I picked it up at Episode. It's such a great 2nd hand store. Last year I got an amazing pair of black leather over the knee boots there for just € 40!

Okay one more gratuitous detail shot. ;-)

But wait... there's more!

I also got a pair of the most fab snake embossed black leather flats...

€ 24 and oh so cute!

But wait... there's more still!

I couldn't resist this little croc embossed bracelet from H&M!

And that's all folks. Have a great weekend guys!

Burberry Fall 2010...

It's probably the Blue Sweater, but I'm really liking these looks from Burberry's Fall 2010 campaign right now. Loving all that rich navy blue and leather!

The shoe... Acne "Brace" ankle boots.

But if you're like me and you're thinking: "Surely we can do a bit better than that", then how about Bertie's "Dinah" shoe boot?

Have a great day guys!

Be careful what you wish for...

"I Die!" We've all heard Rachel Zoe gasp it. In fact most of us have mockingly gasped it ourselves... but what if Rachel were to really die for fashion...

Harper's Bazaar pondered that thought and came up with an amusing photo shoot, where Rachel dies at the hands of America's top designers. My favorites:

Check out the full shoot and a behind the scenes interview with Rachel here.

P.S. Big hurray for the season 3 return of the Rachel Zoe Project!! I'm glad they're back. I missed Brad. Now if I can only find episodes 2 & 3 online, I'd be set.

Hair Crush...

Bianca Balti is now officially one of my hair crushes.

I mean just look at those big sexy curls! I have to admit after seeing this, I was tempted to grab my flat iron and have a go, but I was strong and I didn't.

You may have noticed that I've been wearing my hair natural this summer. After leaving my flatiron to contemplate it's sins and wearing braid-outs for the past 3 months, I have to say, it's been great! Very, very few "my braid-out didn't dry properly, so now I have a big frizzy mess" hair days.

I really do have a penchant for big hair, whether it by straight like Bianca's or curly. And if Bianca is my big straight hair crush, then my big curly hair crush has got to be Corinne Bailey Ray.

 Isn't that just beautiful?

I love this outfit. Great look for fall.

Keeping it simple...

Just keeping it simple today...

White t-shirt (H&M), blue jeans (Zara), black blazer (H&M), black patent belt with gold snake buckle (Topshop) and of course leopard print ballerina's (V&D).

Have a great day!

I like her shoes...

The girl, Sienna Miller...

the shoes, Topshop Anarchy Multi Buckle Wedges.

That is... I think I like them, but maybe I just like them because they remind me so much of the perfection that is Surface to Air's Buckle Wedges...

... and still I'm not sure I would wear either of them. Weird huh..?

SOTD...

It's rainy casual Thursday! :-) And I'm wearing a grey sweater, baggy jeans and my cobalt blue flats.

I like the cute silver detailing on the side.

Full out fit shot... sort of.

Have a great day!!

The blue sweater...

Sometimes just one image is all you need...

(photo from: NYC Run Fashion)

... to accept that summer might very well be over... and be totally okay with it. This photo went straight to my "Fall 2010" inspiration folder. This is perfection.

SOTD...

I had just enough time to take the photo's and dash out the door this morning, so today's post is a bit late. I wore my gold snake print flats today. Yes, flats again... I was rushing remember?

I paired them with a black t-shirt, cropped black pants and this military jacket.

Oops... there's that yoga ball again ;-)

I love this jacket! I've had it for years. Don't you love it when you can play "shop the trend" in your own closet?

SOTD...

Leopard print ballerina's of course! I do have a serious animal print habit.

I kinda like the leopard and pink combo. Threw in a leopard print belt for good measure. ;-)

You can see my inspiration wall (and 2 of my LV's and my tripod and my yoga ball... lol) in the back ground.

SOTD...

My cream sandals with little bows. So cute!

I wore them last night to dinner at my best friend's house.

Today I'm wearing my red satin ballerina's. There is something about red shoes that is so special.

It's raining today so I'm going for comfort. Here's a quick shot of my outfit. Just easy and casual.

Have great day everyone!!

SOTD...

After weeks of contemplating whether or not to color the cross straps on my "Chloe look-a-like" sandals I decided to go for it. The thing with a DIY project like this is that if it goes wrong I would have ruined a perfectly fine pair of new shoes... Like I did that one time when I sprayed a pair of leather boots to get a patent leather look. Which probably would have worked out fine if I had done it in a couple of thin layers instead of impatiently spaying too much in one go... We will never know, but let's just say you live and learn and move on because I am very pleased with how the sandals turned out.

So this is what they looked like before:

And this is what they look like now:

I think the contrasting color does give them a depth and dimension that they were lacking before. I'm glad I did it.
