I sat down to write a little retrospective of 2010, but I won't bother... other than to say that 2010 was a very good year for me and there is a lot that I'm thankful for. I'm looking forward to this new year with hope and optimism. I wish for you all (as I wish for myself) that your life blossoms to it's full potential, bringing with it the manifestation of all your dreams and aspirations! If there is one bit of advice I could give you, it would be to remind you that your life is yours and you, only you, form it. Have a blessed and happy 2011!!

Carine! Noooo!!!
British Vogue announced today that Carine Roitfeld will be leaving Vogue Paris at the end of January 2011. It isn't completely clear why she's leaving or what she plans do after that time other than that she has decided to "concentrate on personal projects"...
I have to admit that I'm a bit sad about this. Heck, I'm A LOT sad about this. I just can't believe it! Vogue Paris has become synonymous with Carine and now after ten years at the helm she's leaving! Oh God, I'm going to MISS her...

I'm really curious to know what those "personal projects" will be and if any of them have anything to do with Tom Ford's return to women's fashion. I just hope we will be seeing her around. She really is one of my heroes.
I wonder who is going to replace her... Emmanuelle? Those are tough shoes to fill.

Mystery Solved...
Remember my "Hot Boy" post back in November? Well finally, I can put a name to that handsome face and fabulous style.
His name is Mboko Ndimba Mobutu. He's a stylist and fashion editor for Ghubar magazine and of course, like most fashion folk, he has a blog all of his own: MusicFashionArt. Which is as young, fresh & new as you would expect from someone with his impeccable taste. Definitely worth checking out.
My favorite outfit surprisingly is one of the most casual I seen of him.
So effortless and yet so very chic! If you want to know more about him, I also found an interview with him on Fashion Et Al. So check that out as well and keep your eye out for Mboko, he's one to watch!

Sudden Craving: Bustiers...
Once again, I'm on the look out. This time for the perfect bustier. I think I'll go for a black.
But more important than the color, is that it's seamless like the one Rihanna's wearing here.
Though this is definitely not the outfit I have in mind. Cut off jeans with long socks and clogs..? Uhmmm... No.

Putting on the Glitz...
This is why I love Michael Kors.
He can do a watch this "blinged out" without it looking gaudy or tacky. Needless to say, I want one.
This little lovely is called "Allover Glitz" (MK5352). Get it at michaelkors.com. I think it's well worth the investment at $495. What can I say? I like flashy. ;-)

Great Finds...
Hey All, I'm back. I hope every one had a great Thanksgiving Day weekend! Mine was awesome! I got to spend some quality time with family and friends this weekend, which always great.
So Friday the idea popped into my head to go and check out the bazaar in The Hague. It was such a random thought, that I figured I'd just run with the inspiration. I was not disappointed! Although on a whole there wasn't a whole lot to see there, I did stumble across this one stall selling great vintage clothing for unbelievable prices!
I picked up two leather skirts for €5 each!
This a really gorgeous navy blue and this photo isn't really doing it much justice.
I wore this grey one yesterday. LOVE it! I paired it with just a simple grey sweater (H&M) and brown suede boots (Zara old).
Side note: The guy at the stall also had the largest collection of the gnarliest looking fox furs I've ever seen in my life! Some of them were so little that I'm sure they were ferrets. Really grossed me out... It was just one of those moments that you regret not having your camera with you. :o)

I like her shoes...
Usually I try to find out who the girl is and who makes the shoes, but I don't even know where to start with this one. Fab shoes all the same. ;-)
Although... Karla of Karla's Closet does come to mind... No?

Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
I've been a very good girl this year. I ate all my veggies, flossed every night and except for that one time, when I gave that one guy the finger, I've been as sweet and as kind as a girl could be. Sooooo, can I please, please, pretty please with sugar on top... (You seem like the kind of guy who likes a lot of sugar) please can I have these Jimmy Choo booties for Christmas?
I saw them on Net-a-Porter for just € 1.350,-. And if they're sold out, then can I have these instead?
They're from Net-A-Porter as well and only € 1.195,-.
Thank you Santa!
xoxo
Mocchachica
