Vacation Playlist

So while I'm chilling in this pretty little village on Italy's Lake Garda, I thought I'd share my vacation playlist with you.

1. Bruno Mars - Lazy Song (how predictably applicable, but I think the video-clip is so funny. The little head shake thingy in the beginning always makes me laugh.)

2. Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. ft. Boy George - Somebody to love me. (I'm an 80's kid; nothing but love for Boy George!!)

3. Lykke Li - I follow Rivers. (I think this is such a cool song, the clip creeps me out though...)

4. Kreayshawn - Gucci Gucci (I will Stan for LV forever, but I'm not made at her. I'm far from basic. :-)

5.Robyn - Call your Girlfriend (love, Love, LOVE everything Robyn)

6. Mary J Blige - Work that  (This song is off her 2007 album Growing Pains, but I only just discovered it and already it is one of my anthems.)

Inspiration of the week...

Ladies and Gents I give you: The sweatshirt skirt.

I've seen this done before with a crisp whit men's shirt, but never with a sweatshirt. And that is exactly what I love about this photo. This young lady has taken that initial idea a step further, just beyond the limit of what is "stylish" and what is "out there" and yet it still works.

Perfect Cool in Summer Heat...

I'm so in love Karla's outfit!! This is perfect summer cool to me. It's lady like without being too girly. Light, airy and colorful, stunning shoes, killer bag... perfection!

Best.Hair.Product.Ever... Period...

My search is finally over. I have found my holy grail hair product! Drumroll please...

It's Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Leave-in Conditioner.

My hair is extremely dry and seemed to have gotten even drier as I went natural. I tried the heavy oils like Sheabutter and Castor Oil that were supposed to "keep the moisture in". They worked okay and I'll admit that they made my hair look great, but oh my God the greasiness was just too embarrassing!! I'm talking full on 'Soul Glow' effect... You can ask my beautician, my dentist and my dry cleaner about me and the nice greasy stains I used to leave behind. Just mortifying but finally and thankfully a thing of the past!

My hair is now soft and moisturized and as an added bonus it smells amazing! Like red raspberry candy, simply delicious!! I'm completely converted. Completely. Period.

Yes, that is Olivia Palermo with my bag!! Haaa! I'm kind of excited about this. lol I mean, I think most would agree that Olivia is a bit of a style icon, so it's really cute to see that she went for the same bag that I fell in love with. 

Here's my baby...

I ended up going for the lighter color. I just thought it would suit me better. Also good to know is that Zara also carries this bag in a beautiful deep red and they retail for €119,-. 

Inspiration of the week...

My inspiration this week is the beautiful Gabi from Young, Fat and Fabulous, who encourages women of all sizes to not give a rip about the opinions of others and rock that bikini!! Her message: Every body is a bikini body!
