Anything boys can do...
...girls can do better! Case in point? Eva Marcille in her white tux for Niecy Nash' wedding.
Yes I know we've seen Janelle Monae do it a million times and don't get me wrong, I think Janelle "werks" the look, but Eva look so darn sexy in this tux!! I absolutely love this last pic. It could be from an editorial or something. I would have chosen a nail color in the same shade as the lipstick though...

Technicolor Dreamjeans...
A few weeks back Zara had a vast array of pretty colored skinny jeans and though I thought they were cute, I wasn't really tempted.
Besides, if you're even a little bit curvy and you know what's good for your ego and healthy body image, you know to steer clear of Zara jeans, because they were not made for women of the bootilicious persuasion. Which reminds me of my bff, the fabulous Pella Bella, who once posted on her facebook from a Zara dressing room that even the mirrors at Zara make you look fat... but I digress...
Colored jeans... yes... On my radar for a while now, but I wasn't really inspired to jump on the trend until I saw this outfit perfectly executed by Nati from Fashion Coup.
It was just the thing I needed to see to inspire a whole bunch of outfit ideas. Of course I now need a pair of red jeans...

Inspiration of the week...
Ladies and Gents I give you: The sweatshirt skirt.
I've seen this done before with a crisp whit men's shirt, but never with a sweatshirt. And that is exactly what I love about this photo. This young lady has taken that initial idea a step further, just beyond the limit of what is "stylish" and what is "out there" and yet it still works.
Are you brave enough to wear your sweats like this?

Olivia!..
Is that?
(photo from: The Vogue Diaries)
Yes, that is Olivia Palermo with my bag!! Haaa! I'm kind of excited about this. lol I mean, I think most would agree that Olivia is a bit of a style icon, so it's really cute to see that she went for the same bag that I fell in love with.
Here's my baby...
I ended up going for the lighter color. I just thought it would suit me better. Also good to know is that Zara also carries this bag in a beautiful deep red and they retail for €119,-.

Isn't she lovely...
Ginnifer Goodwill looked absolutely breathtaking at the Met Costume Gala.
There's something very ethereal and fairy like yet so very glam about this look. Just lovely!

Back Pack Chic...
I love this back pack. It's got that boho chic thing going on and the leather so rich and intricately detailed. If ever I were to wear a back pack, the chances of which are slim to none, this would be the one.

Accessories...
Though usually an afterthought accessories can really make an outfit. I love a good shoe, no doubt, but these accessories are certainly worth a mention.
First up, the ever-fabulous Viviana
Her bracelets! Just wow! ... plus OMG those shoes!
(ETA: The bracelets are by Angela Caputi.)
This outfit just wouldn't be the same without those glasses/shades. And even though I am not the biggest Chanel fan, the bag looks fab on her!
ETA: The gloves!!

Be careful what you wish for...
"I Die!" We've all heard Rachel Zoe gasp it. In fact most of us have mockingly gasped it ourselves... but what if Rachel were to really die for fashion...
Harper's Bazaar pondered that thought and came up with an amusing photo shoot, where Rachel dies at the hands of America's top designers. My favorites:
Check out the full shoot and a behind the scenes interview with Rachel here.
P.S. Big hurray for the season 3 return of the Rachel Zoe Project!! I'm glad they're back. I missed Brad. Now if I can only find episodes 2 & 3 online, I'd be set.

I see you baby...
Adrienne Bailon has either gotten herself a (new) stylist or she's newly single and is showing the poor bugger what he's lost or she's just very, very, very happy... Whatever the reason, she's been looking great lately! I see you baby!
Love the shoes!
Love that skirt!
(photo's from: The Fashion Bomb Daily)
And her best accessory has got to be her fresh, healthy, glowing skin. Keep doing what your doing girl, it's working!

The Fashion Puzzle...
I saw the jacket at Jak&Jil:
I saw the shoes at StockholmStreetstyle. (Which I showed you in an earlier 'I like her shoes' post.)
Garance Doré posted a bit more of the outfit...
But it wasn't until I saw this Style.it photo that I realized that those fab shoes were actually part of this fab outfit.
I admit I am a bit slow sometimes... Anyway, the girl is of course Christine Centenera Fashion Editor at Harper's Bazaar Australia (more on her soon) and the shoes are Nina Ricci Fall 2009.

They call her Yellow Mellow...
Well they probably don't... but maybe they should. I'm talking about Viviana Volpicella, Assistant Fashion Director Vogue Nippon.
The last photo is definitely my favorite. Overall though Viviana's love for bright yellow is a great example of knowing what works for you and making it a staple in your wardrobe.
I must say, she seems to love all bright colors in general. Case in point:

I mean, in theory peachy orange paired with turquoise sounds a bit 'much', doesn't it? But to see it on Viviana, it not only makes sense, it looks fabulous! And you can tell from her bright smile that her colorful choices reflect her fun personality. She's definitely one of the girls I keep an eye out for during fashion week. Such a breath of fresh air amids the black fabric addicts that is the fashion pack.
